The day count is getting lower! I’m excited and yet I am also worried that it is more like 12 or 19 days… 19 days is the longest they’ll let me go. Still a low number so I’ll take it. Plus, at this point I’m excited to have the kid out of me but I’m also not ready yet. I need at least 5 more days! So let’s just say I’m hoping for like 8 days?
Anyway, I’ve been busy working on school stuff. I know, it is Spring Break but after buying my new domain I’ve been working hard on getting some of that ready to do and at the same time work with my sub and other teammates to get things ready to go digital. It will be an interesting time and I’m a little sad I’ll miss it. But at the same time I’m excited for spending the days snuggling a baby. Sunshine will have to learn to share the snuggles.
Wednesday was my 39 week appointment. All is still looking good. I think it was the first time they didn’t measure my belly but it changes so much in size based on how the kid decides to push it’s butt. I was going to have them check my cervix but was kind of talked out of it. Still not ready for my membranes to be swept so there isn’t much reason to do it still. And like I said, I need like 8 more days. So, skipped the check and headed home until next week!
Also, while I was there the phones were ringing off the hook! SOOOO many people wanting to transfer to the birth center to give birth. SOOOO many. It is insane! People thought I was weird for not wanting a hospital birth (still not willing to do a home birth though) and now that’s not looking so crazy! Along with that, people thought I was crazy for wanting to cloth diaper… based on how many moms are looking for diapers, concerned about money, and wipes?! OMG nobody can find baby wipes. I’m set… Just have to wash them between uses. Not looking so crazy anymore am I? Just going back to like it was in the times when disposable everything wasn’t available.
Ok, now back to work… have a to do list for today for the new site and school.
